What if we created a site that highlighted the things we love about our valley?
That's the question that started it all, the simple "what if" that sparked the beginnings of this blog. Before we knew it, we were filling up a yellow pad with ideas and inspiration. Within a few hours, we had a vision and a name: Citrus and Cream, as a nod to the groves and dairies in our area. And two busy months later, we're finally saying, "Hello!"
Even though Citrus and Cream was so-named for local commodities, it coincidentally captures us, the creators of the site. Stephanie is vibrant and bright, with a sharp wit and killer lemon cake recipe. Candace, who grew up as a dairy kid, knows everything is better when topped with whipped cream. We are best friends and genuine valley girls, excited for what's to come.
Each week, we'll be sharing our favorites, bringing seasonal recipes, DIY projects, local activities, entertaining ideas, and more! Plus, we'll be introducing you to some great people and fantastic shops. And did we mention the weekly giveaways?!
For our kick-off week, we've got plenty of goodies to share! Multiple posts (including a daily giveaway!) will be going up throughout each morning. Connect with us--we don't want you to miss out!
The truth is, we love where we live. We know it's hot here, and we'll admit it smells of manure at times, but this is home!
